About Us

African American Election Observers Inc is an independent not for profit organization that reflects the passion and commitment of its members to explore new insights by bringing together a wide range of talent and expertise to share their experience and their vision in rebuilding Africa’s democratic institutions as premier knowledge resource; and a recognized leader in promoting the democratic principles and processes as a life long activity.

In order to achieve the above purpose AAEOMT will:

1) Educate and spread awareness of election process to be free and fair to all

2) Educate, empower and install the role of Board of Election as a role playing field for all political candidates

3) Engage higher institutions and civic organizations in order to play a greater role in election process

4) Strengthen Board of Elections role in terms of training and monitoring election process

5) Play a bipartisan role to conduct research, political education, training, analysis, polling and data collection to help all stakeholders

6) Organize and sponsors exchange programs with Africa involving youth and other groups to contribute to Africa’s rebirth through transfer of knowledge, sharing of technology and systems of election monitoring. Our vision is in a long run; election process should be given in class as part of civic education from grade level to high school

What we do?

  • Training program
    Conduct a training program in coordination with the host country electoral authorities and other participants.

  • Capacity Building
    Promote capacity building within the project and knowledge transfer to national partners.

  • Promote Communication
    Promote communication among voters and electoral officials to prevent post-election social conflicts.
