Welcome to AAEOMT

The African-American Election Observation and Monitoring Team (AAEOMT) is a Maryland based organization promoting the ideals of free and fair elections throughout the continent of Africa. AAEOMT strives to be Africa’s premier knowledge resource; and a recognized leader in promoting democratic principles and processes as a life long activity.

AAEOMT has become a partner of the UNESCO Center for Peace, a 501C3 Frederick County based organization promoting the ideals of UNESCO—the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization founded on November 16, 1945. Through this partnership, AAEOMT fully endorses UNESCO’s ideals of building classrooms, promoting scientific breakthroughs, enhancing culture and communication with the goal of building peace in the minds of people.

    The African American Election Observation and Monitoring Team (AAEOMT) has received an invitation from the Ethiopian National Board of Elections (ENBE) to participate in an electoral training during week of May 2010.

What we do?

  • Training program
    Conduct a training program in coordination with the host country electoral authorities and other participants.

  • Capacity Building
    Promote capacity building within the project and knowledge transfer to national partners.

  • Promote Communication
    Promote communication among voters and electoral officials to prevent post-election social conflicts.
