The African American Election Observation and Monitoring Team (AAEOMT) has received an invitation from the Ethiopian National Board of Elections (ENBE) to participate in an electoral training during week of May 2010.


AAEOMT’s Training Outline for Ethiopia’s 2010 Election
The African-American Election Observation & Monitoring Team (AAEOMT) aims to provide electoral training to the participants of Ethiopia’s 2010 National Election. AAEOMT’s mission is to:

1. Help raise the capacity of the Ethiopian National Electoral Board (ENEB) by training election workers, the electorate, candidates, and civic organizations.

2. Engage in the physical observation and monitoring needs of the ENEB.

3. Prepare election related manuals that would enhance the knowledge for its distribution.

What we do?

  • Training program
    Conduct a training program in coordination with the host country electoral authorities and other participants.

  • Capacity Building
    Promote capacity building within the project and knowledge transfer to national partners.

  • Promote Communication
    Promote communication among voters and electoral officials to prevent post-election social conflicts.
